Does anyone have a update on Short? He look like he was in a lot of pain. Tough break for him he was having a good ride.

RacerX this morning...

Honda Red Bull Racing's Andrew Short suffered a frightening crash over a triple jump in San Diego on Saturday, knocking him out of the race and leaving him in obvious pain. According to his manager, Fred Bramblett of OMS, on-site Asterisk Mobile Medics did not spot any fractures in either his tib-fib or ankle. Today he is undergoing further exams, including an MRI on the soft tissue around his ankle.

"We're guardedly optimistic, but as you can imagine, Andrew is very bummed out," said Bramblett of the rider who was fourth place in points going into San Diego. We should have more news by the end of the day on the popular Honda rider.

Saw this on cycle news. Looks like Shorty's out for 6 weeks. Hate that for him, I thought he might be close to finding those extra couple spots he needed.
